When my children were born, my life took a different turn than the one anticipated.
As a woman entrepreneur, I had imagined a life where I would continue to grow as a woman with talents and dreams and create a life where my children would grow to develop their own life and talents. A life where I would continue to live all that I was and create the same space for my children.
I never stopped to wonder if society would step up to those dreams and hopes, I just assumed it would.
Necessity being the mother of invention, hence began my journey as a researcher and advocate for a deeper and better understanding of twice-exceptionality and how it shapes children and their families.
